Designing the Shopify Experience for JuiceBro
How Thumbstack approached clearer product discovery and a more coherent commerce journey for the JuiceBro Shopify experience.

No performance metrics or causal growth claims are included here because verified analytics have not been supplied for this pack. That boundary matters: a credible case study should separate confirmed work from measured business outcomes.
The product has to be understood before it can be bought
Food and beverage purchases often look simple, but customers may still need answers. What is the product? Which option suits them? How much do they receive? How should it be stored or consumed? What are the relevant ingredients and delivery conditions?
The exact answers belong to approved product data. The website’s job is to make that information easy to locate and compare without burying the purchase action.
Clear product naming, consistent imagery and scannable information reduce uncertainty before checkout.

Creating a route through the range
Navigation and collections should reflect the way customers think about the products. A catalogue may be organised by format, occasion, preference or another meaningful dimension. The correct taxonomy must come from product strategy and customer evidence.
Once established, that taxonomy should remain consistent across menus, filters, search and recommendations. Inconsistent labels make a small catalogue feel complicated.
The purpose of discovery design is not to expose every choice immediately. It is to help customers make the next useful choice.

Designing product pages for confidence
The product page balances appetite and information. Strong art direction can create desire, while structured content answers practical questions.
A useful hierarchy typically includes a clear product identity, option and quantity controls, approved essential details, fulfilment context and a prominent purchase action. Additional brand or educational content can deepen the page after the immediate decision is supported.
On mobile, controls must stay readable and easy to operate. Error and unavailable states deserve the same design attention as the ideal purchase path.
Brand storytelling without blocking commerce
Storytelling matters in a crowded consumer category. It can explain the brand’s point of view, create a distinctive voice and give customers a reason to remember the product.
But the store should not make returning customers replay the entire story each time. Content hierarchy and navigation allow new visitors to explore while repeat buyers reach products quickly.
This balance is a recurring Thumbstack principle: brand expression and usability are not opponents when each has a clear role.
Shopify architecture should support operations
The storefront needs clean product data, reusable content sections and a manageable app ecosystem. Promotions, availability and catalogue changes should not require fragile manual work.
Before adding an app or custom feature, teams should define the customer value, operational owner and performance cost. The simplest reliable method is often the strongest long-term choice.
Analytics should also be planned before launch. Key commerce events, acquisition attribution and consent behaviour need validation if later performance claims are to be meaningful.
Measuring a redesign responsibly
A website launch can coincide with changes in marketing, seasonality, pricing, product availability and distribution. If orders rise, analytics should investigate the contribution of each factor rather than assigning all growth to design.
Useful measures include product-list engagement, product-view-to-cart progression, checkout initiation, purchase conversion, mobile performance and qualified repeat behaviour. Findings should be segmented and compared over a suitable period.
This disciplined approach produces better optimisation and more trustworthy public case studies.
What JuiceBro represents for Thumbstack
JuiceBro is a commerce story about making a brand and its products easier to navigate online. It brings together content hierarchy, product discovery, mobile UX and the operational realities of Shopify.
The underlying principle applies to every e-commerce redesign: visual change matters most when it makes customer decisions clearer.
